As part of our efforts to increase the profile of housing in the North, we are delighted to announce the successful initiation of an All Party Parliamentary Group.

Whilst there are existing APPGs that focus on housing, we felt they were dominated by Southern issues and the need for a specific Northern viewpoint was essential. MP's across the North from all parties agreed with us and we have had a tremendous response from MP's who are keen to be part of a group that will influence debate, and raise awareness of critical issues for housing in the North. The Northern Housing Consortium provide the Secretariat for the APPG and we will be using the APPG to raise issues of concern, initiate debates, garner support for amendments to legislation and, in a more general sense, raise the profile of housing in the North.
